Rice Bread
Ingredients
- 1 pound boiled rice
- 2 quarts flour
- 1 yeast cake
- 2 cupfuls milk
- 1 teaspoonful salt
- 3 teaspoonfuls sugar
Directions
Mash the rice while hot and rub it into the flour with the tips of the fingers. Add the salt and sugar, warm milk, and dissolved yeast. Make it into a dough just soft enough to handle, knead well, and bake in a shallow pan. Let it double its bulk, and bake in a hot oven.
