Fried Rye Muffins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup rye meal
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup molasses

Directions

Mix and sift dry ingredients; add remaining ingredients; beat well. Drop from a spoon into hot fat. Fry like doughnuts.
