Lemon Jumbles
Ingredients
- 1 pound flour
- 1 pound powdered sugar
- grated yellow rind of 1 lemon
- 4 eggs
- 5 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp cream
Directions
Mix ingredients and add the yolks of 4 eggs, well-beaten. Whites of 4 eggs whipped to a foam. Beat up the whole with melted butter and cream. Drop the batter in rings or round cakes on baking tins and put the jumbles in a slow oven for twenty minutes. Leave room for them to spread.
