How to Make Raisin Pie
Ingredients
- grated yellow rind of 1 lemon
- remainder of lemon, chopped
- 1 cup of stoned raisins
- butter, size of walnut
- 1/2 cup of molasses
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 cup of water
- 5 tablespoons of flour
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
Directions
Boil the fruit, nuts, molasses, sugar, and water 5 minutes then add flour and of salt. Use two crusts. This will make two pies, medium-sized. A beaten egg can be stirred in and 3 tablespoons of flour omitted.
