Boiled Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound of bread cut in pieces and soaked soft in cold water

Rub fine and mix with it:

  • 2 tablespoonfuls flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoonful melted butter.
  • 1/2 teaspoonful salt
  • cold milk sufficient to make a thick batter

Directions

Mix well and turn into a floured pudding bag. Leave room for it to swell, not too much or it will fall out of shape. Boil one and one-half hours. Serve with rich sauce. If wished, 1 cupful of raisins may be added to the pudding.
