Rice Pudding

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup seeded raisins
  • 2/3 cup rice

Keep hot in a saucepan on the back of the stove two hours or until the rice softens. Add the following:

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten separately
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • pinch of salt

Mix carefully so as not to break the rice and bake one-half or three-quarters of an hour in a buttered pudding dish. Serve with butter and sugar, hard sauce or vanilla sauce.
