Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar boiled in
  • 2 cup of hot water for five minutes
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch rubbed smoothin a little cold water
  • juice and grated rind of a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Directions

Boil all ten minutes, then add the lemon juice and rind and butter. Stir until the butter melts and serve at once. Nice for steamed and many other puddings. Lemon extract may be used.
