How to Make Squash Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cooked squash
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 yeast cake
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 1/2 cups flour
Directions
- Mix yeast and water.
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Add yeast mixture, butter, milk, and squash to dry ingredients. Mix until the ingredients form a dough.
- Roll out dough and cut into biscuits.
- Place biscuits on a greased pan and allow them to rise.
- Brush biscuits with butter and bake.
