How to Make Cornmeal Bread

  1. Put the milk and water in a double boiler and cook until it is scalding hot.
  2. Stir in the cornmeal and cook for a half hour.
  3. Pour mixture into a bread raiser and allow it to cool.
  4. Add salt and yeast.
  5. Gradually beat in the flour.
  6. Allow dough to rise to double its size.
  7. Knead on a floured surface.
  8. Mold dough into loaves and place into greased bread pans.
  9. Bake.
