How to Make Raisin Cornbread
Ingredients
- 1 cup sour milk
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Mix milk, egg butter, sugar, and salt together.
- Dissolve baking soda in the water and add to the other ingredients.
- Sift the flour and cream of tartar and stir into the rest of the mixture.
- Stir in the cornmeal and raisins.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
