How to Make Hickory Nut Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup entire wheat flour
- 1 cup white flour
- 1/2 cake yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 pound shelled hickory nuts
Directions
- Set a sponge of the wheat flour, white flour, yeast, and milk.
- Add the sugar, salt, hickory nuts, and enough additional wheat flour to make dough as stiff as can be stirred with a spoon.
- Put dough in a bread pan and allow it to rise.
- Bake.
