How to Make Cornmeal Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 yeast cake
- 1/4 water
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup cornmeal
Directions
- Scald the milk.
- Add the sugar, salt, yeast, water, and flour to the milk and allow the mixture to sit until it becomes spongy.
- Add butter and cornmeal to the other ingredients.
- Pour batter into a greased muffin pan.
- Bake.
