  1. Scald the milk and let cool.
  2. Add yeast, sugar, and water to the milk.
  3. Stir in flour, butter, and salt.
  4. Roll dough thin and spread with melted butter.
  5. Fold dough over and roll again, cutting into rounds.
  6. Spread tops of rounds with melted butter and press center.
  7. Fold each round in half and pinch the edges.
  8. Brush with butter again.
  9. Let rise.
  10. Bake several minutes, then brush the tops with egg and sweetened milk.
  11. Return to oven until brown.
