How to Make Tea Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 yeast cake
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup scalded milk
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Mix butter and milk.
- Dissolve sugar and yeast in the water. Combine with butter and milk.
- Stir in half the flour. Mix until the texture is smooth.
- Add the rest of the flour and the salt.
- Knead dough thoroughly.
- Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness and brush with melted butter.
- Cut dough with 2 inch biscuit cutter and fold in half.
- Allow the rolls to raise for 2 hours.
- Bake.
