Recipe for Entire Wheat Bread
Ingredients
- 4 cups scalded milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 yeast cake
- 9 cups entire-wheat flour
Directions
- Mix sugar, salt, and milk. Let cool.
- Add the flour and yeast. Beat for five minutes.
- Cover the pan and let rise in a warm place until the dough doubles in size.
- Put the dough in grased bread pans, filling each one about half full.
- Let the dough rise to the top of the pan, then bake.
