  1. Scald the milk.
  2. Add the water, molasses, and shortening to the water.
  3. When the mixture cools add the yeast, sugar, white flour, and salt. Beat 10 minutes.
  4. Allow the dough to rise 2 hours.
  5. Add enough wheat flour to make a stiff dough.
  6. Let dough rise to double its size.
  7. Divide dough into loaves and place in greased bread pans.
  8. Let rise again to double size.
  9. Brush dough with warm water and bake.
