How to Make Cream of Celery Soup
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 head of celery
- 1 large slice of onion
- small piece of mace
Directions
Boil celery in the water from 30-45 minutes. Mix milk, mace, and onion and boil. Mix flour with 2 tbs. of milk, and add to boiling milk. Cook 10 minutes. Mash celery, and stir into boiling milk. Add butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Strain and serve immediately.
