Chicken Stew

Cut up the fowl. Put over to stew in enough cold water to cover; three hours will be required for a tough fowl. While stewing, throw in a tablespoonful of chopped onion, a small piece of pickled pork cut fine, 1 teaspoonful of salt, 1/2 teaspoonful of pepper and a cupful of milk. Thicken with 2 tablespoonfuls of flour rubbed in water.
